How do you use a second phone as a viewfinder with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra?

In short

Both phones need the same Wi-Fi or a hotspot connection. In the camera, pull down, tap Auxiliary camera and pair the second phone.

Step by step

  1. Use a device from Xiaomi, Redmi or Poco as the second smartphone.
  2. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi or pair them with each other via a hotspot.
  3. In the camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, pull down to get to the settings.
  4. Tap Auxiliary camera (Hilfskamera).
  5. On the display, tap the second smartphone and pair it.
  6. Take the photo. On the screen, you see what the camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra sees.

You need this when you want to photograph yourself or capture something from a distance without standing next to the camera. You use the main camera of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and still have a preview image to check.
