How do you clean up cloud storage in Google Photos?
In short
In Google Photos, go to Settings, Backup and Manage storage via your profile picture, and delete large photos and videos as well as unimportant content.
Step by step
- In the Google Photos app, tap your profile picture.
- Open Photos, then Settings.
- Choose Backup.
- Tap Manage storage.
- Open the section for large photos and videos. The files are shown to you there.
- Delete what you no longer need.
- Also take a look at the tabs for unsupported videos and unimportant content, and delete from there as needed.
You need this if your cloud storage is filling up, because according to Jen, cloud storage costs money. The unimportant content is mostly screenshots.
