How do I save photos to the Locked Folder on the Pixel?

In the camera, tap the folder icon at the top right before you shoot and choose the Locked Folder. Move photos you've already taken using the three dots.

Step by step

  1. In the camera, tap the folder icon at the top right before you shoot.
  2. Choose whether the photo or video should be saved to the normal photo gallery or to the Locked Folder.
  3. Choose the Locked Folder and take the shot.
  4. Later, open the folder in the Photos app under Library, then Utilities, then Locked Folder.
  5. To move pictures you already have, tap the three dots at the top and choose Move to Locked Folder.

Shots in the Locked Folder don’t appear in the normal gallery, only in this folder. Jen shows the feature as one of the tips for the Pixel 6 Pro.
