How do you take a scrolling screenshot on a Pixel with Android 12?
In short
Take a screenshot with the power button and volume down button, tap Capture more at the bottom, set the area with the handles and save.
Step by step
- Open the page you want to capture more than the visible screen of, for example a web page or a news feed.
- Press the power button and the volume down button at the same time to take a screenshot.
- If the page allows it, the Capture more button appears at the bottom. Tap it.
- Use the handles to set how far the screenshot should extend.
- Tap Save. The screenshot is then in the photo gallery and can be edited or sent.
The feature is new in Android 12. It helps when you want to capture the complete page, not just the visible screen.
Jen points out that it doesn’t work everywhere. On her first attempt in the video it didn’t work, but on the Google home page it did.
