How do you make the Galaxy Tab S9 faster?

In short

Unlock Developer options and set the window animation scale and transition animation scale from 1x to 0.5x. That doubles the animation speed, and the tablet feels faster.

Step by step

  1. Open the Settings and go to About tablet and then to Software information.
  2. Tap Build number seven times.
  3. Enter your PIN when asked. The Developer options item appears at the very bottom of the settings.
  4. In Developer options, scroll to Window animation scale and Transition animation scale.
  5. Set both scales from 1x to 0.5x.

The setting doubles the speed of the animations when you open apps. That makes the tablet feel much faster. Jen finds this especially interesting for the Tab S9 FE because it only has a 90 Hz display.
