How do you show the brightness slider on the first swipe?
In short
In the Quick Panel, tap the three dots at the top right, open Quick panel layout and turn on Always show for brightness control. The slider is then visible on the first swipe down.
Step by step
- Swipe down on the home screen to open the Quick Panel.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
- Choose Quick panel layout.
- For brightness control, turn on the option Always show.
- For the buttons for device control and media output, turn on the option Don't show.
The brightness control is then visible on the first swipe down and not only on the extended swipe. Hiding the two buttons is optional and makes the Quick Panel look tidier. Jen uses this setting on all of her tablets and Galaxy smartphones.
