How do you pin the side panel on the Galaxy Tab S7?

From a video by Jen from Shown with: Galaxy Tab S7 with the fall 2021 update

Samsung Tablets

In short

In the settings under Advanced features and Labs, enable pinning of favorite apps, then open the side panel and pin it via the small menu.

Step by step

  1. Open the Settings.
  2. Go to Advanced features and then to Labs.
  3. Tap the option for pinning your favorite apps.
  4. Open the side panel.
  5. In the side panel, tap the small menu and choose to pin it.

Without this setting, the side panel is hidden as soon as you open an app. When pinned, it stays on the side, and you switch quickly between your favorite apps.

In full-screen mode, for example with videos, the panel hides automatically. When you leave full-screen mode, it comes back.
