The best features of the Bose Lifestyle Collection

I’ve been using the Bose Lifestyle Collection for a while now, and I love it. Here are my three favorite features of the soundbar and subwoofer. I showed the setup in an earlier video.

Custom Tune: sound for your own room

This impressed me during setup already. The Bose app measures my room once and tunes the sound precisely to it. As a result, every note sits just right in my living room. Thanks to Dolby Atmos, the sound seems to come from everywhere, even though there are only the Premium Soundbar under the TV and the Wireless Subwoofer next to it. It’s pure cinema.

Speech Clarity: clear dialogue

Room-filling sound alone doesn’t solve one problem: the constant turning up and down of the volume during a movie. In action scenes the effects are too loud, and then the dialogue is too quiet again. With Speech Clarity, that’s over. I turn the feature on in the app, and the soundbar automatically makes sure dialogue is clear and prominent. I don’t have to turn up the volume, and I don’t get blown off the couch by the action scene afterward.

Control without a remote

There is no remote with the Bose Lifestyle Collection, and I like that, because in the end you only end up looking for it anyway. The soundbar and subwoofer are controlled through the Bose app on your smartphone or by voice command with Alexa. On top of that there are Google Cast and AirPlay, which let you easily play music and podcasts from Spotify and others.

Sound

I’m not a sound expert. But I can say that, for me, this is one of the best soundbars and one of the best subwoofers I’ve heard in a home setting. The sound is really full and fills the whole room, the bass is strong, and the voices are clear and distinct in movies and music.

Verdict
