Slide the brightness slider all the way up, turn on "Extra brightness" in the display settings and keep adaptive brightness turned off.

Step by step

  1. Slide the brightness slider all the way to the right.
  2. Open the display settings.
  3. Turn on the menu item "Extra brightness".
  4. Turn off adaptive brightness.

You need this if the highest normal brightness isn’t enough for you, for example in direct sunlight. Jen says the extra brightness keeps the display easy to read even then. She points out that adaptive brightness has to be turned off for this.
