Samsung shopping tour with Jen: Galaxy Z Flip 3, Watch 4 and Buds 2 in the cart

The week before, Samsung presented the new devices at the Unpacked event, and some of them immediately appealed to me a lot. That’s why in this article I’m going shopping with you in the Samsung Online Shop. I already own the Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Tab. I’m mainly looking at their successors. The prices come from the shop at the time of the video in August 2021.

Galaxy Z Fold 3: tempting, but too expensive

Originally I had considered buying the Galaxy Z Fold 3. If you know my recent videos, you know what a big fan of the S Pen I am, and the Z Fold 3 supports it. That is extremely cool.

What is not so cool is the price. That’s why I decided against it. Once the devices have been on the market for a while, there will surely be deals, or you can buy them used later. But I find it very interesting.

Galaxy Z Flip 3: my upgrade

I already have the Galaxy Z Flip with 5G, and it’s a total joy to use. That’s why I decided to upgrade to the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

• Model: Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G
• Price: €1,049, which is still a lot of money, but a different ballpark compared with the predecessor
• Storage: 128 GB, I’m sticking with that
• Color: The shop has Cream, Phantom Black and Green. Exclusive to the Online Shop are Gray, White and Pink.

I was torn on the color. I looked at lots of pictures on the internet and on Instagram. I decided on Green. The back is glossy, so you’ll probably see fingerprints. But I think the aluminum frame and this green are mega cool.

I can trade in my old device in the shop.

Accessories: cases

For the Z Flip 3 I saw a super cool case online. There is a case with a ring on the back, in Blue, Green, Olive, Lavender and Coral. I found the silicone cover with strap even cooler. On the back it has a band you can put your hand through, so you hold the device firmly in your hand. It comes in baby blue with orange or in white with neon green. I put the silicone cover with strap in Lavender with an orange band in the cart.

Galaxy Watch 4: Gold, 40 mm, green strap

The Galaxy Watch 3 is super beautiful, and I also love the Bronze color. But it is relatively thick. I want something more subtle again. I think it’s really good that you can configure the Galaxy Watch yourself in the shop.

My configuration:

• Model: Galaxy Watch 4, not the Classic. The Classic has the bezel again and looks bulkier. I find the new design of the Watch 4 so strong.
• Size: 40 mm (40 and 44 mm are available)
• Color: Gold
• Variant: Bluetooth only, because I always have my smartphone with me anyway. That is also cheaper.
• Strap: sport strap in size S/M, because I have a slim wrist, in Green. That goes with my new phone.
• Price: €268.90

Also available are hybrid leather bands, sport bands, extreme sport bands and a Milanese band.

Galaxy Buds 2: Olive

I am a big fan of Samsung headphones because they are super comfortable and sit really well in the ear. The Galaxy Buds 2 are available in Olive, Graphite and Lavender, among others, so almost matching the new devices. The form factor doesn’t change all that much.

• up to five hours of uninterrupted playback
• automatic switching between connected devices: if you are listening to music or on a call on your smartphone and want to keep listening on the tablet, you switch on the tablet, and it asks whether you want to keep listening with the headphones. I think that’s great.

I chose Olive. With black and gold, the color looks really good together with my new watch.

Verdict

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 tempts me because of the S Pen, but is too expensive for me. So I ordered the Flip 3, Watch 4 and Buds 2, all in colors that go together. I’m already looking forward like crazy to the delivery. As soon as the devices arrive, there will be a big unboxing, promised.
