Ultimate Christmas gift ideas for 2022

Christmas comes as a surprise every year. If you are still looking for a gift, here are my personal recommendations for 2022. My highlight, with which I did myself the most good, comes at the very end.

1. HP Sprocket: A small portable printer that I bought in August. I use it to print three or four favorite photos from vacation. The paper has adhesive on the back, and the photos go into a diary, a calendar or an album. The photo quality is very good. It is a bit pricey.
2. Foldable Bluetooth keyboard: I bought it for my Z Fold 4 to work on the go. Folded up, it is very slim and light, fits in a handbag and works with a tablet or smartphone. The trackpad works very well.
3. Thermal mug: My coffee at the desk always went cold before I had taken a sip. The mug keeps it warm. Mine is stone gray with a gold rim, and it also comes in rose quartz and black.
4. Loop bands for the Apple Watch: A set of four for €10, stretchy, comfortable and skin-friendly. Plastic bands quickly give me a rash, but these don’t. I like bronze best.
5. Travelers Notebook: A mini diary made of leather in passport size, high-quality and refillable. A nice gift for anyone who likes to write, keep a diary or a bullet journal.
6. Ad: jewelry from Vidaluminosa: I love the delicate, understated jewelry, especially in rose gold. There are earrings, bracelets, necklaces and anklets.7. Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro: For me, the headphone highlights of the year. Sound and voice quality are very good. New, they cost €216. At asgoodasnew, where I often buy used, they were available in very good condition for €169. The devices are tested and refurbished there in Germany.
7. Ad: Casetify cases: They come in many colors and shapes, and you can personalize them, including leather cases with your name. They are more expensive, but high-quality, sturdy and made of recycled material.9. Amazfit GTS 4: My favorite smartwatch of the year. For €199.99, it can do almost everything an Apple Watch or Galaxy Watch can, and lasts a week. It comes in black and in gold.
8. MOFT Snap-on wallet: Magnetic, for MagSafe-compatible cases. I have already bought it twice. It serves as a stand and for holding large smartphones better, and it holds cards like a debit card and a driver’s license. It is a bit pricey, but very practical.

My highlight: the neck massager

If I could only keep one item, it would be this device. I have already bought it twice and give it as a gift. Rotating balls knead your neck, which feels almost like a real massage, plus there is heat. You put your arms into loops and decide for yourself how firm the pressure is and where it sits. Intensity and speed are adjustable. I sit at my desk all day and put it on my shoulders every evening. You shouldn’t use it for longer than 20 minutes. My massage gun is nowhere near as good.

Verdict

For tense people at a desk, the neck massager is my favorite. On the tech side, I mainly recommend the Amazfit GTS 4, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and, for photo fans, the HP Sprocket. Some links are affiliate links, and the price stays the same for you.
