How do you set up the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro?

Plug in the station, attach the mop pads, fill the water tank, switch on the robot and put it in the station, then download the Xiaomi Home app, connect the robot to the internet and start the orientation run.

Step by step

  1. Connect the charging station to the cable.
  2. Attach the mop pads to the robot vacuum.
  3. Fill the water tank for the mopping water.
  4. Switch on the robot vacuum and put it in the station.
  5. Download the Xiaomi Home app. It shows you the device right away.
  6. Connect the robot vacuum to the internet.
  7. Send the robot vacuum off on an orientation run. It scans the entire living area with its AI triple camera and draws a map.

The box contains the charging and self-emptying station, the robot vacuum, two mop pads, a cable and an instruction manual for the few setup steps. Jen finds the setup very easy and quick. During the orientation run, the robot doesn’t drive over every inch but positions itself in the middle of each room. After that, you can send it straight off to clean.
