Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus
What does Jen say about the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus?
For Jen, the Galaxy S24 Plus is the better S24 Ultra for anyone who values handling and low weight and doesn't need an S Pen. In everyday use, performance, display, and Galaxy AI are almost identical, and the Ultra costs €300 more.
Pros
- Extremely well built, matte glass back, brushed aluminum frame
- 6.7-inch display with 513 ppi and up to 2,600 nits
- 36 g lighter than the S24 Ultra, sits more comfortably in the hand
- Exynos 2400 without stutters, Galaxy AI runs smoothly, 12 GB of RAM
- Battery lasts at least two days
- Like the Ultra: IP68, 45-watt charging, 15-watt wireless charging, Samsung DeX
Cons
- Main camera with 50 megapixels versus 200 megapixels on the Ultra, noticeable differences
- No S Pen
- Possible performance limits in graphically demanding games or rendering

Samsung Galaxy S25+
What does Jen say about the Samsung Galaxy S25+?
The Galaxy S25+ comes very close to the S25 Ultra in display, processor and Galaxy AI, while being lighter, handier and cheaper. The camera is the biggest compromise. If you don't need an S Pen and care about video quality, you are better served by the Plus than by the Ultra.
Pros
- Large 6.7-inch AMOLED display
- Same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy as in the S25 Ultra
- Slim, light and handy despite its size
- Video quality is still really good
- Galaxy AI identical on all three models
Cons
- Camera sensors like on the S25, no new lenses
- No anti-reflective display glass like on the S25 Ultra
- For the price, the competition offers better photo cameras
- No S Pen
