After a year, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has become a real flagship for Jen, even after a bumpy start. In January 2023 she does not consider it outdated. If you want to save money, wait for the S23 series to launch, as the price should drop afterward.
Pros
- Razor-sharp and very bright display
- A camera that makes photos and videos fun
- Fits well in the hand despite its size thanks to the curved display edges
- Built-in S Pen, for example for signing documents
Cons
- Bumpy start: it stuttered, froze, and video recording was not possible at first
- The Exynos processor caused the performance problems, which were only fixed by many updates
- Curved displays are not for everyone

What does Jen say about the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra?
After three months, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is, for Jen, a well-rounded package of design, high-end tech and innovation. Speed, display, camera and battery delight her, and only the weight of 234 g and the difficult one-handed use bother her.
Pros
- Incredibly fast, not a single stutter in three months
- 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, very sharp
- Display almost scratch-free even without a screen protector, Gorilla Glass Victus 2
- Camera with very good photos and videos, better white balance than the iPhone
- Battery lasts almost two days
Cons
- Heavy at 234 grams
- One-handed use is almost impossible
