All the new Xiaomi devices from Barcelona: Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Pad 7 Pro, Watch S4 and more
Verdict in brief
In Barcelona, Xiaomi presented a completely new lineup, from the Xiaomi 15 Ultra camera phone and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro to the Electric Scooter 5 Max. Jen will be testing the devices in detail.
Xiaomi presented its new lineup in Barcelona, with some very cool new devices. Here is an overview of everything you need to know. All prices are RRPs.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra
I’ve been using the Xiaomi 14 Ultra as my daily driver for almost a year because of the camera. Even after the new devices from Google and Samsung, it kept pulling me back, because I like its photos and videos the best. So I’m looking forward to the successor with an even better camera.
Not much has changed in the design, and the weight is the same. The camera ring is now red instead of gold, which I like a lot. The big camera module no longer sticks out quite as far and is integrated into the body more nicely.
- Camera: Leica quad camera with a 50-megapixel main camera (1-inch sensor, f/1.63 aperture), a 50-megapixel floating telephoto, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto and a 50-megapixel ultrawide. Video in 4K at 120 fps or 8K at 30 fps. Front camera with 32 megapixels. According to benchmarks, it’s supposed to be the camera phone of 2025.
- Software: HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, with Circle to Search and Gemini, plus Xiaomi’s own Hyper AI features for photo editing, translation, subtitles and more.
- Display: 6.73 inches, up to 3,200 nits, easy to read even in bright sun.
- Battery: 5,410 mAh, a little larger than before. With the Snapdragon 8 Elite, I expect better battery life.
- Colors: Black, White and Silver Chrome.
Xiaomi 15
The more compact model with 6.36 inches won me over. Like the Ultra, it has the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 5,240 mAh battery and a Leica triple camera with 50 megapixels for the main, telephoto and ultrawide cameras. The front camera also has 32 megapixels. I’m curious how big the differences to the Ultra are in the shots. The design with a glass back, aluminum frame and extremely thin display bezels is well done. It comes in Black, White, Green (which I think looks very stylish) and Liquid Silver.
| Version | Price |
|---|---|
| 12 GB RAM, 256 GB | €999.90 |
| 512 GB | €1,099.90 |
Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro and Pad 7
The Pad 7 Pro is a slim, modern tablet with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 8,850 mAh, a 50-megapixel rear camera, a 32-megapixel front camera and a bright 11.2-inch Crystal Clear display. It runs HyperOS 2 and the new Hyper AI features. My highlight is the Focus Keyboard, which attaches magnetically and feels high quality. You don’t need a mouse, because the navigation is built into the trackpad, and it feels like a desktop experience. I’ve been working with it for a few days and think it’s awesome. There’s also the Focus Pen for drawing and taking notes.
- Pad 7 Pro (Blue, Grey, Green): 8 GB + 256 GB for €499.90, 12 GB + 512 GB for €599.90
- Pad 7 Pro Matte Glass with a matte display glass (Grey): 12 GB + 512 GB for €649.90
- Pad 7 (Blue, Grey, Green): 8 GB + 128 GB for €399.90, 8 GB + 256 GB for €449.90
The keyboard and Focus Pen are sold separately.
Xiaomi Watch S4
I’m a big fan of Xiaomi smartwatches and have been wearing the Watch 2 so far. The Watch S4 brings:
- 1.43-inch AMOLED, up to 2,200 nits, 326 ppi
- interchangeable bezel, straps in eight styles
- a 486 mAh battery that is supposed to last up to 15 days. If that’s true, that’s a bombshell.
- HyperOS 2
- a control center for Xiaomi smart home devices
- over 150 sports modes and ten professional running courses
The Watch S4 starts at €159.99.
Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro
The new earbuds come in White and Silver. They have very good active noise cancelling of up to 55 dB and lossless audio. They start at €199.99. The WiFi version with better transmission costs €229.99.
Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Max
The new e-scooter has a 1,000-watt motor, reaches up to 25 km/h and goes 60 km on a charge, which is really far for an e-scooter. It also has pretty cool ambient lighting. It starts at €599.99.
I’m looking forward to testing all the devices in detail.
