Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

What does Jen say about the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE?

The Galaxy S24 FE is not a stripped-down S24, but an alternative to the S24 Plus. With a price difference of about €240 and small differences, it is worth it for anyone who wants a big display. Face unlock is missing.

Pros

  • Large 6.7-inch AMOLED display
  • Large 4,700 mAh battery
  • IP68 and all the Galaxy AI features of the S24 models
  • About €240 cheaper than the S24 Plus at the time of the video
  • Fast processor, no difference from the S24 Plus in everyday use

Cons

  • No face unlock, the optical fingerprint scanner is slower
  • Back made of glossy glass, the gray version shows fingerprints badly
  • Slightly asymmetric display bezel
  • No macro mode

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE

What does Jen say about the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE?

Two months after launch, the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy Buds3 FE are much cheaper and, in Jen's view, a good choice. The S25 FE is worth it for anyone who wants to save money and wants the Samsung ecosystem with Galaxy AI. The Buds3 FE fit if you can do without good ANC and the Live Translator.

Pros

  • Galaxy S25 FE: thinner and lighter than its predecessor, despite a bigger battery
  • Snappy, reliable everyday use with all current AI features
  • Battery: 6.5 to 7 hours of screen-on time
  • Main camera, ultrawide, video and front camera do a good job
  • Galaxy Buds3 FE: matte black design, secure fit and good sound
  • Galaxy Buds3 FE now cost only half as much as the Buds3 Pro

Cons

  • Galaxy S25 FE: last year's Exynos 2400 instead of the newer Exynos 2500
  • Display bezels are still asymmetrical, only an optical fingerprint sensor
  • Digital zoom on the S25 FE is unusable
  • Galaxy Buds3 FE: no decent ANC, the earbuds hiss when ANC is on
  • Charging case has to be charged very often
  • No Galaxy AI translator mode
