Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro
What does Jen say about the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro?
The Galaxy Book 3 Pro keeps up with the MacBook Pro: slim, well equipped and finally strong enough for Jen's video editing. Link to Windows and the Office suite are the biggest plus points for her, but the fan kicks in quickly.
Pros
- Very slim (12.8 mm) and surprisingly light at 1.7 kg
- Plenty of ports, including HDMI, two USB-C, microSD and a headphone jack
- Strong performance, even for video editing
- Much better speakers than on its predecessor
- Link to Windows: mirror your smartphone and control it from the laptop
Cons
- The fan kicks in quickly, for example when you just open a Word document
- The anthracite case attracts fingerprints quickly
- The trackpad is offset to the left, not centered under the keyboard
- Initially only available in anthracite in Germany

Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro
What does Jen say about the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Pro?
The Galaxy Book4 Pro laptops are high-quality, have a great OLED display and are blazingly fast in everyday use. But the prices are clearly too high, and announced AI features were still missing. The Book4 Pro makes the most sense within the Samsung ecosystem.
Pros
- High-quality aluminum body only 1.2 cm thin, the 14-inch model weighs 1.2 kg
- Plenty of ports: HDMI, two USB-C, USB-A, headphone jack and microSD
- Crisp, anti-reflective 3K OLED with 120 Hz and touch
- Sturdy keyboard with good key feel
- Blazingly fast in everyday use with Office, Teams and videos
Cons
- Announced AI features were missing after almost two months on the market
- Fat bottom bezel on the 16:10 display
- At its limit with 4K video editing without proxy files, fan gets loud
- Book4 Pro only available with 16 GB of RAM
- Prices clearly too high
