Huawei Watch GT 4
What does Jen say about the Huawei Watch GT 4?
The HUAWEI Watch GT4 is a solid, high-performing and stylish alternative to the usual smartwatches, if you can do without Google and Apple services. Jen can. There is criticism of the Do Not Disturb sync and the rattling linear motor.
Pros
- Exceptionally stylish design, stainless steel case
- Sharp AMOLED display, touch and crown controls work smoothly
- Extensive, accurate tracking
- Battery lasts about a week
- Compatible with Android and iOS, NFC, GPS and phone calls
Cons
- Bedtime and Do Not Disturb are not synced with the smartphone
- The linear motor rattles slightly when it vibrates
- No Google or Apple services, no paying at the supermarket checkout
- iPhone users can only read notifications, not reply to them

Huawei Watch GT 5
What does Jen say about the Huawei Watch GT 5?
Huawei presented a nice lineup in Barcelona, and all the watches are an upgrade over their predecessors. The GT 5 and GT 5 Pro differ in only a few details, and the D2 is a medically certified watch that measures blood pressure. Jen would have liked a nicer design for the women's version of the GT 5 Pro.
Pros
- Up to 7 days of battery life on the small GT 5 models, up to 14 days on the large ones
- New Sunflower antenna for more accurate GPS tracking, routes can be loaded onto the watch
- Watch D2: medically certified blood pressure measurement around the clock, no calibration needed
- Improved design and new colors on the Watch D2 compared to the Watch D
- Huawei Health app with a clear layout
Cons
- The white display bezel on the ceramic GT 5 Pro does not look premium
- The small GT 5 Pro costs €599 and only has the smaller battery
- The women's version of the GT 5 Pro only comes in the more expensive ceramic variant
- Calls only via Bluetooth through the smartphone, no LTE version
